About this drink

The Whisky Mac is often said to be named after Colonel Hector MacDonald, who is supposed to have mixed it during the British Raj in India as a warming comfort. It later became a staple for Scottish golfers after cold rounds, and it lives on as a simple, sturdy digestif in British sitting rooms.
