About this drink
The Margarita has its roots in Mexico in the 1930s and 1940s, when tequila, lime and orange liqueur found a simple, brilliant balance. The cranberry version is a newer American twist that uses the tart berry juice to give the drink a festive splash of colour and a gentler character than the original. The salt rim keeps the classic's personality, while the cranberry adds a touch of winter glamour all year round.
