About this drink

The name has a long history: The Savoy Cocktail Book of 1930 lists a San Francisco made with sloe gin and both vermouths. The drink most bars mean today is quite different, a tropical vodka highball that became a staple of European bars from the 1970s, named for the city's colourful, eclectic spirit. It is packed with fruit and easy to drink, made for summer and parties.
