About this drink

The Margarita has its roots in Mexico in the 1930s and 1940s, when tequila, lime and orange liqueur found their balance. The strawberry version arrived as a sweeter, fruitier party take in American bars from the 1970s onwards, often served frozen as a summer drink. Today it is just as often made on the rocks with fresh muddled berries for a cleaner, less sugary taste.
