Instructions

Step

Fill your old fashioned glass with ice water to chill while preparing the cocktail.

Step

Place 5 seedless grapes in the bottom of your shaker and gently muddle them to release juice and flavor, avoiding pulverizing the skins.

Step

Add 30ml gin, 30ml Campari, 22.5ml fresh lemon juice, and 15ml simple syrup to the shaker.

Step

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well-chilled and the outside of the shaker is frosted.

Step

Discard ice water from glass and fill with fresh ice, preferably a large cube to slow dilution.

Step

Double strain the cocktail through both Hawthorne and fine strainer into the glass to remove grape solids and ice shards.

Step

Garnish with a skewered grape and serve immediately.
